Ingleside
Falmouth, VA

Circa 1797, the historic manor house at 219 Ingleside Drive is overlooking the picturesque and melodic fall line of the Rappahannock River. The property was once part of Ingleside Farm, dating back to the 1700’s, and is located just down the road from Belmont, Gari Melcher’s home and studio. In its current restoration, the historic charm and character of the original home have been retained, while incorporating modern mechanical systems and the functional layout of a new home.

Farmhouse Restoration
Spotsylvania County, VA

This 1800’s farmhouse had fallen into disrepair from years of neglect and was in need of a full restoration.  Original wide plank hardwood floors, hand hewn beams, amazing exposed ceiling details and the restoration of the historic stairs paneling woodwork are just a few of the many elements restored during this project.  This project is a perfect blend of farmhouse character and original historic details mixed with the form and function of modern life.

The house is comprised of a hovering roof plane with shifting volumes of enclosure situated underneath that create internal living spaces and protected outdoor spaces and focus views through the woods.
